Not always. Most beers labeled "non-alcoholic" actually have an alcohol content of less than 0.5%. This is perfectly legal in many countries, as such a low amount has no notable effect on the body. The label "0.0%" is reserved for completely de-alcoholized beers, a process mainly accessible to companies with very advanced de-alcoholization equipment.
👉 Why indicate "less than 0.5%"?
Due to legal labeling requirements, even if the presence of alcohol is minimal.

The amount of sugar varies from one beer to another. During brewing, part of the sugars from the malt is not fully fermented (since fermentation is limited or stopped to keep the alcohol content very low). This means there may be slightly more residual sugars than in a traditional beer, but each brand and each recipe has its own nutritional values.

👉 It is therefore recommended to check the nutritional information table shown on the can or on the manufacturer’s website. Some non-alcoholic beers are very low in sugar (<1 g/100 ml), while others contain more depending on the style (IPA, wheat beer, fruity beers, etc.).

We have changed the visuals of our non-alcoholic beers to modernize the brand identity and offer a clearer, more coherent, and more appealing range. The goal was to highlight a distinctive color for the non-alcoholic products, harmonize the appearance of the range, and better convey the essence and personality of each beer. Rest assured: only the designs have evolved; the recipes, flavors, and their quality remain exactly the same.

Technically yes: beers with an alcohol content of 0.0% or <0.5% have no measurable impact on blood alcohol levels and are therefore compatible with driving. However, we advise against consuming a Vagabond non-alcoholic beer while driving. Since our range also includes alcoholic beers, a law enforcement officer might, by simple appearance, believe that it is a beer containing alcohol and be entitled to stop you or issue you a ticket. It is therefore better to avoid any unnecessary confusion, even if the beer itself has no effect on blood alcohol levels.

A non-alcoholic beer is generally lower in calories than a regular beer, as alcohol is very caloric in itself. However, the calories mainly come from residual sugars and malt. So yes, it does provide calories, but often half as many as an alcoholic beer.

• Regular beer: 40–55 kcal /100 ml
• Non-alcoholic beer: 20–35 kcal /100 ml

Health professionals recommend caution, especially with beers containing up to 0.5%. Those with 0.0% are generally considered safe, but it is best to consult a doctor.

Yes, it hydrates more than an alcoholic beer because alcohol is no longer present to cause dehydration.
That is why non-alcoholic beers are often enjoyed after physical exertion, as they hydrate more than an alcoholic beer: the absence of alcohol prevents dehydration and allows one to enjoy the refreshing aspect. That said, they do not replace water or a recovery drink and may contain a bit of sugar. They are therefore ideal as a complement, to celebrate the run… without compromising recovery.

Even though our beers are alcohol-free, they may contain:

• sugar,
• calories,
• carbonation.

They remain beverages to be consumed in moderation, but they do not have the effects of alcohol, which allows for more flexible consumption.

Yes. They follow exactly the same steps as classic beer:

1. mashing of the malt,
2. fermentation,
3. hopping.

The difference lies at the end, through:

• the early stopping of fermentation,
• or gentle de-alcoholization.

The process remains authentic, which explains the taste quality of our beers.
